Silicone Surfactant
L-580 is a new alkyl-pendant type non-hydrolyzable organosilicone surfactant. L-580 is specifically designed for excellent foam stability in the production of conventional flexible foams of extremely low density where the high loading with blowing agents tends to destabilize these foams. L-580 provides this tability while yielding foams of a good open structure. L-580 is designed for maximum stability of blends of water, amine catalysts and surfactant: such blends show an unchanged performance over several weeks. The superiority of Witco Silicone Surfactant L-580 over current competitive surfactants has been demonstrated in both bench and full scale machine trials in typical low density flexible urethane slabstock formulations in use throughout the world. |
