Silicone Surfactant
L-603 is a widely used, versatile, alkyl-pendant organosilicone surfactant designed for conventional and low-combustibility flexible polyether slabstock foams to give excellent processing latitude in a full range of polyol systems and formulations. L-603 performs well in formulations using all propylene oxide, as well as ethylene oxide/propylene oxide polyols, and with a variety of auxiliary blowing agents. It has superior efficiency and allows a wide processing range in terms of stannous octoate use, while maintaining good foam breathability profiles with reduced density gradients. In the slabstock foam marketplace, L-603 has gained wide commercial acceptance as an all-purpose product that provides excellent processing on a variety of foam equipment. It incorporates the same special structural features of other NIAX low-combustibility surfactants, which enables the production of these types of foams with minimized use of flame retardant additives. |
