Low-cost, easy-to-use powdered chromate conversion coating for aluminum parts and electronic equipment applied by spray or tank.
Oakite ChromiCoat 103 is a blend of chromic acid and accelerators that converts an aluminum surface into a complex compound that actually becomes an integral part of the surface.
It's specially formulated for two chromate conversion coating applications performed easily and economically.
First, it leaves a complex conversion coating on surfaces of aluminum parts and strip making the surfaces highly receptive to paint and resistant to corrosion.
Secondly, it leaves a complex coating on surfaces of aluminum sheet and electronic parts one that is low microhm resistant..conducive to good spot welding..highly resistant to corrosion..highly receptive to subsequently applied finishes.
Powdered ChromiCoat 103 mixes easily with water at all temperatures, does not require a separate upkeep material.
Applied by immersion or spray at low concentrations, ChromiCoat 103 can be controlled to produce either colorless coatings for use under paint or rich golden coatings for decorative purposes.
Oakite ChromiCoat 103 meets two Classes of military Specification MIL C-81706 (Qualifying Specification for MIL C-5541C).
These are Class 1A(painted or unpainted), Form lI(powder), Method C(immersion) and Class 3(low electrical resistance), Form ll(powder), Method C(immersion). |
