Offering combined cleaning and sanitizing of all food contact surfaces, Oakite Detergent-Sanitizer is a liquid blend of anionic surfactants and food-grade phosphoric acid.
This acid, working with the material's excellent emulsifying properties, dissolves hard water salts and calciferous deposits such as milkstone.
It also quickly removes fats, oils, dispersible protein-type soils and light scale.
This detergency lets the sanitizing properties of Oakite Detergent-Sanitizer work directly on cleaned surfaces for the most effective results.
Oakite Detergent-Sanitizer also inhibits the growth of slime and bacteria.
Moreover, its continuous use removes food stains and rust as well as brightens stainless steel surfaces with less chance of their being pitted.
Although designed as a Detergent-Sanitizer, the liquid acidic material is also used as a sanitizer or sanitizing rinse after cleaning.
Applied at recommended concentrations, it reduces gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms-including salmonella and staphlococcus-to significant levels for acceptable sanitation.
When used at 16 ml/(2 fl oz/gal) of water, no rinsing is needed.(See Application Procedure).
In addition, Oakite Detergent-Sanitizer is completely soluble in cold or hot water, rinses freely without streaks or spots, does not cause objectionable odors or produce taste contamination.
It's authorized by the USDA for use in federally inspected meat and poultry plants, contains ingredients acceptable to the FDA and is approved by the CDA and CDF.
The product is applicable in cosmetic and pharmaceutical plants. |
