Oakite Enprox 855 is a non-chromated liquid water treatment for controlling the build-up of hard water scale and inhibiting the corrosion of metals and alloys used in recirculating cooling water systems.
This modern material is specially formulated to maintain its stability and effectiveness in the pH range of 8 to 10.0 - the range where accelerated scale formation occurs.
For this reason, Enprox 855 provides excellent scale control and corrosion inhibition in systems employing make-up water high in both calcium hardness and total alkalinity.
In these systems, with an alkaline (pH over 7) water supply, Oakite Enprox 855 checks the deposition of calcium, magnesium and barium salt scale on equipment.
Left unchecked, such scale build-up can reduce a system’s heat transfer ability to a critically low level.
Equally important, Enprox 855 contains an innovative corrosion inhibitor to safeguard the system’s vital copper-alloyed equipment.
The material inhibits corrosion without relying on objectionable chromates. |
