Photo-catalysis can be defined as "acceleration by the presence of as catalyst". This definition includes photosensitization, "a process by which a photochemical alteration occurs in one molecular entity as a result of initial absorption of radiation by another molecular entity called the photosensitizer-we call this photosensitizer the photo-catalyst", but it excludes the photoaccelation of a stoichiometric thermal reaction(exergonic or endergonic) irrespective of whether it occurs in homogeneous solution or at the surface of an illuminated electrode. Photo-catalyst acts as an oxidizing agent when activated by ultraviolet ray, especially sunlight. Our photocatalystic titanium dioxide are capable of decomposing various ingredients that produce odors, mainly organic compounds, into carbon dioxide and water by light irradiation(from UV-A to UV-B widely and 350-380 nano meter is the most efficient range of UV). *Application: - Photo deodorants, Decomposition of waste water, Drink water purification - Tableware, Pigments - Building interior & exterior materials - Household electric appliances - Wallpaper, Aquarium, Tile - Air conditioner(Cooler & Heater) - Seat cover of car |
