| Captex 810D is a structured triglyceride prepared from selected high purity vegetable products and glycerin. Captex 810D provides a high linoleic acid content and is recommended for use in skin care creams, lotions, and color cosmetics. As a good source of essential fatty acids with improved lubricity, Captex 810D offers advantages in lipstick and lip treatment products. Captex 810D can be used in pharmaceuticals for parenteral and enteric hyperalimentation. These triglycerides provide an ideal lipid vehicle to augment and supplement the caloric needs of patients with ease and acceptability. Captex 810D is prepared with medium-chain fatty acids, is rapidly absorbed, oxidized and utilized via its unique metabolic pathway. It is more desirable than the conventional corn, soybean or safflower oils. |
