Silicone Fluid Emulsion E 38 is a nonionic-cationic oilin-water emulsion whose active ingredient combines the benefits of both poldimethylsiloxanes and silicone resins. Silicone Fluid Emulsion E 38 can be readily incorporated into cold-stirred formulations. Silicone Fluid Emulsion E 38 is mainly used In polish and release agent formulations. In car polishes, e.g., paint conditioners and wash-waxes, it protects the automotive finish by enhancing resistance to detergents and weathering and by improving water rinse-off.
In release agent formulations, especially those for microcellular PUR systems, the high viscosity of the active ingredient results in good affinity of the release agents for the molds. In most cases, moldings can be subsequently painted and bonded without difficulty.
