RTV-2 Siliconkautschuk/ RTV-2 Silicone Rubber
ELASTOSIL M2471 is particularly suitable for moulding applications in which the rubber is to be applied by spreading and the model has only minor undercuts.
Since ELASTOSIL M2471 is self-levelling (and not non-sag), it cannot be applied in thick layers to inclined or vertical surfaces because otherwise it would flow off (ELASTOSIL M3500 and M3501 are, however, fully non-sag grades). Moulds made of ELASTOSIL M2471 have high mechanical strength and can be used with all common reproduction materials. |
