RTV-2 Silicone Rubber
ELASTOSIL M4503 RTV-2 Silicone Rubber is a pourable, condensation-curing, silicone rubber that vulcanizes at room temperature, especially suitable for polyesters.
- Good flow
- Low Shore A hardness (ca. 25)
- High tear resistance
- Great extensibility and elasticity
- Excellent long-term stability of the vulcanizate’s mechanical properties
- Outstanding resistance to common casting resins, particularly to polyesters
Due to the excellent mechanical properties of the cured material with outstanding resistance to casting resins, particularly polyester resins, M4503 is especially suitable for reproducing models with extensive undercuts in casting resins.
Other materials, such as wax and plaster however, can be processed without any problems in molds made from ELASTOSIL M4503. |
