| Macrospec L-36 |

| MACROSPEC L-36 were specially developed and chemically modified to enhance the surfactant properties, already found in the tannin extract. The unique efficiency of the MACROSPEC L-36 makes it suited in application in which dispersion or suspension of solids are indicated (for instance: clay slurry, powder formulation, ceramic...). The advantages brought by MACROSPEC L-36 applications lie mainly in its efficiency in minimizing the formation of agglomerates, preventing settling and reducing the viscosity in aqueous solution, permitting increasing concentrations with proper viscosity. Other important property of the MACROSPEC L-36 is its ability to act as binding agent. It is not quite clear how it acts, but several trials showed that it imparts tack and adhesiveness, besides reinforcing natural cohesion among particles, increasing strength. A supplemental advantage of this organic agent, in some application, is of burning out completely, therefore not affecting the resultant ware. The combination of two (or more) MACROSPEC L-36 abilities or its synergism with other products can important the best economical and practical performance. For instance, in ceramics, it plays dual role, it acts as dispersant in aqueous slurries and binding agent when the water is evaporated. The effectiveness of the previously discussed MACROSPEC L-36 makes it indicated for various industrial application. |
