On the other hand, products from the Alkest TW line are hydrophilic surfactants, i.e., they exhibit high HLB values.
As a result of the presence of the polioxyethylene chain, products from the Alkest TW line are soluble or dispersible in water, which favors their use in emulsions such as oil in water (O/W), as dispersants /solubilizers of oils and as co-surfactants in shampoos.
In the textile industry Alkest TW 20 is used as an auxiliary for carding and spinning synthetic or natural fibers.
It can also be used to increase the wetting of non-woven fabrics, to reduce static electricity and as a lubricant for nylon and polyester sewing threads. |
