In cosmetic formulations, Alkolan PK 2M, Alkolan PK 2H, Alkolan CO 2M and Alkolan CO 2H products are used as thickeners, foam stabilizers, superfatting agents and solubilizers of essences and oils.
They are used widely together with sulfated fatty alcohols and sulfated ethoxylated fatty alcohols(Alkolan line) due to the strong interaction between the amide group and the sulfate ions of anionic surfactants, increasing the solubility, stabilizing the foam and thickening the system.
These characteristics, further to the superfatting power of the fatty chain of coconut, determine the use of these products in shampoo, liquid soap and bubble bath formulations. |
