Causticized powdered leonardite |
 |
CC-16, causticized powdered leonardite, is a highly efficient dispersing agent used to control viscosity and gel strengths of normal to high pH fluids. CC-16 is an excellent emulsifier for oil-in-water emulsion fluids. It provides filtration control in water-based drilling fluids. * Applications/Functions: - Reduce viscosity and gel strengths of any drilling fluid - Reduce HPHT filtration rates and provide thin, tough filter cakes - Reduce the effects of contaminants on drilling fluid properties - Emulsify oil into water-based drilling fluids * Advantages: - Has excellent solubility in water-based drilling fluids - Remains effective in the presence of contaminants - Can be used in salty formations and salty make-up water |
