Improves heat resistance, weathering of organic resins.
As an additive to improve flow-out of epoxy paints, initial gloss.
Blend with up to 50% in organic resins used as binders for finishes to improve gloss and colour retention at temperatures up to 430'C(806'F).
Paints containing acrylic resins cold blended with DOW CORNING 840 Resin have proved highly suitable for use as touch up paints.
Aluminium coatings containing 10% to 30% of the resin will resist 650'C(1202'F) over short periods.
Siliconeceramic coatings based on DOW CORNING 840 Resin containing ceramic frits are erviceable up to 750'C(1382'F). |
