| Titanium R-85 / Titanium R -170 (neutral aqueous solution)
Titanium R is an amorphous condition aqueous solution. Titanium R does not have any photocatalytic function under room temperature unless it is heated to more than 250캜. A very fine titanium dioxide film can be made on a surface at room temperature. It can be used as a protection layer for an organic substrate. After it is dried completely the coated film with TiO2 never dissolve in water.
Dry the coated surface completely. If it is not dried enough the thick coated film peels during the heat treatment. It can be heated to 250캜. to a couple hundred degrees centigrade. When it is heated to more than 250캜. the amorphous condition becomes a structure of anatase crystal. By increasing the temperature the adhesion and the density to the substrate increase to form a hardness film. Heat treatment of more than 800캜. changes the anatase crystal structure to rutile causing its photocatalytic effect decrease.
