Dongbu Fine Chemical is a fine chemical product manufacturer jointly
invested by Dongbu Hannong Chemical Co. and Korea Technology Promotion Co.
(corporation invested by KAIST). Agrochemical technicals market in Korea relied
solely on imports until Dongbu Fine Chemical succeeded in localizing agrochemical technicals for the first time in Korea. The company has also achieved stable
distribution and price stability of agricultural chemicals.
Dongbu Fine Chemical developed over 60 products of Agrochemicals
technicals with 20 of those items in the market currently.
In 2001, total sales is about 200m$.
After the establishment of
Fine Chemical Technology Institute, located in ansan city, the company is in the process of developing
other areas of fine chemistry such as polymer materials, dye intermediates, and
"pure" electronic reagents with a stable foundation of accumulated skills. Dongbu
Fine Chemical is a future-oriented company, which will lead the fine
